The Subject of the origin of life is very important for us as we are studying biology and spending years and years of our life studying biology in any form plant biology animal biology or microbes or whatever... so we have to know more and more about the concepts and theories related to the origin of life.
so anyway the 1st thing that must be said about theories on the origin of life is that non of them satisfy the criteria of the scientific theory, as for the scientific theory to be valid it should involve processes, events and procedures that are repeatedly observable and testable, and of course it can not be applied with the issue of the origin of life because when life originated (4 or 5 billions of years ago) of course no body was there to see what happened and there were no human witnesses of the origin of life. so whether the explanations are related to the evolution or the creation so its just believe and we cant call them scientific theories...
so, in order to think about how life did originate on our planet we have to know what life is requiring to start, in order to think how did life originate so we have to imagine how the simple micro-organic molecules are formed ( amino acids, purines, pyrimidines,..etc) then we have to imagine how these micro molecules are combined together to form the macro-organic molecules then how these macro-molecule will get together to form the 1st living cell..
ok.., in order to think how the micro molecules are formed on the primitive earth ( the earth in which we think that life originated in) we have to imagine the conditions of the primitive earth, what is the atmosphere of the primitive earth, is it the same like our today's atmosphere ?
again i will say that we have no records on the conditions of the primitive earth, nobody was there to tell us that the atmosphere of the primitive earth contain whatever.
but the evolutionists were proposing a hypothetical atmosphere of the primitive earth, but of course we cant be sure of these condition, but we are sure of one thing, that the evolutionists will assume a primitive earth conditions that matches and support their explanations about the origin of life.
so.. let me give u some facts about the primitive earth atmosphere:
- if the primitive earth atmosphere was the same like our today's earth atmosphere so it would be impossible for life to originate in such atmosphere.. because out today's atmosphere consists of high amount of oxygen gad ( 21%) which is enough to oxidize any micro-molecules formed to act as precursors of life.
also if we propose that the primitive earth atmosphere contained no oxygen, it will be impossible for life to be originated too as if there is no oxygen so that means no ozone layer will be formed and that the harmful radiation from the sun will reach the earth's surface and will cause damage for any material formed to act as precursors of life
( life cannot start with oxygen in atmosphere - life cannot start without oxygen i
n the atmosphere)
anyway the evolutionists proposed that the primitive earth contained a reducing atmosphere and contains some elements like CH3, NH3, H2O and others
then some attempts to create life are made depending on the assumed primitive earth conditions, Most famous experiment is Miller's Experiment in 1953, Miller constructed an apparatus (as in the fig.)
and put the elements he thought that were present in the primitive earth and he used lighting as source of energy
